What’s Your Story is a program I designed to work with individuals and organizations to connect with consumers, investors and employees through the use of a compelling story. People don’t want to be sold. They want to be inspired.
Story begins with how you talk about yourself and what you do. I advise my clients to “abandon the elevator speech” – and instead to use narrative that will connect you to others.
Every person and every organization has an ‘origin’ or ‘foundational’ story. Those stories are a valuable asset and have more power than you may realize. In my work I begin with asking the basic questions of: Who are you? Why are you doing this? Where are you going? Why does this matter?
What I often hear are inconsistent stories told throughout an organization; from the business development and sales force to the creative team all the way to junior or senior employees. This leads to confusion and lost opportunity to leave a long-lasting and signature impression.
